Sennheiser Aviation Headset Support Statement
Adams Aviation would like to clarify that we are not a warranty or non-warranty repair centre for the full range of Sennheiser commercial aviation headsets, including: HMEC25, HMEC26, HMEC26-2, HMEC45, HMEC46, and the Sennheiser general aviation range of headsets to include the HME-100.
We do not hold any official or unofficial spare parts, nor do we provide repair, servicing, or refurbishment for any Sennheiser model. This includes minor tasks such as replacing worn cables, ear seals, downleads, microphone booms, or any other component. As a company committed to regulatory compliance and OEM-approved procedures, we strictly follow Telex’s guidelines and therefore cannot undertake any work on these headsets.
Sennheiser's Withdrawal in 2015
In late 2015, Sennheiser announced its withdrawal from the aviation headset market, with production ending in early 2016. This decision brought an end to their long-standing presence in both the general aviation and commercial aviation sectors. Popular models such as the Sennheiser HME 110, HME 120, HME 46, HMD 46, HMEC 460/461, and S1 Passive/ANR were widely used by private pilots, flight schools, commercial operators, and even airline crews. However, since Sennheiser’s exit, the product line has been fully discontinued.
As of today, Sennheiser no longer supports these aviation headsets, meaning no official spare parts, accessories, or replacement components are available. This includes essential service items such as downlead cable assemblies, overhead cables, plugs and connectors, earphones, ANR modules, ear cups, and headbands. Without access to genuine parts, these headsets cannot be properly serviced, repaired, or returned to airworthy condition.
Handling of Unauthorised Sennheiser Headsets
To maintain full compliance with Sennheiser, aviation regulations, and Adams Aviation’s quality standards:
Any Sennheiser aviation headset sent to our Repair Centre—without prior approval and regardless of fault—cannot be worked on.
Such products will be placed into quarantine to ensure they are not mistakenly processed.
Release of these items will require either collection in person or payment of return shipping costs.
We understand that this may be disappointing for customers seeking a fast resolution, but maintaining strict adherence to OEM rules ensures the safety, integrity, and traceability of all aviation communication equipment we handle.
